Howe...Thanks for the article, it is very informing. However, I would like to point out that, what you have taught is the basic of walking and being led by the Spirit, which in turn leads to the fruit of the Spirit, in Galatians 5:22. When we have perfected the art of walking in the Spirit as mentioned in Galatians 5, then we are dwelling and operating in the portion of grace which the Lord Jesus has apportioned us Eph. 4:7, and "...Walking worthy our calling with which you were called", Eph.4:1. At this point the word of God must be living in you abundantly (Colossians 3:16), and your thoughts and meditations are clouded by nothing else but the Word of God which is the Spirit of God, (John 6:63). This is where the hearing the voice of God comes in. The word that lives in you is a person and he speaks. One time I was driving from work while meditating on how to hear the voice of God, a voice in my heart spoke to me; “If you live in sin, sin will speak to you, but if you live in righteousness, righteousness will speak to you".

****Nzila Ngatho*****
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09488005623837663624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6457329754426231866.post-82777756460518275612017-02-09T16:03:53.761+02:002017-02-09T16:03:53.761+02:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09488005623837663624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6457329754426231866.post-9361454110275001792014-01-30T04:34:02.808+02:002014-01-30T04:34:02.808+02:00We have to hear God's voice to be led by him,...We have to hear God's voice to be led by him, if you are not hearing his voice how can you be led by the spirit of God? If I am across town and my child wanted to get to me then in order for her/him to get to me I would have to tell them how to get there, meaning they were led by hearing my voice and me giving them instructions on how to get there. led by the spirit means to hear God's voice and to follow what you are hearing God speak. If I want to marry John and I am not sure about this person then I will ask the holy spirit what do I need to do, and when I get the answer and I do what the spirit has said then that means I was led by the spirit. Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Direct My Path Also Means being Led of the Spirit.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6457329754426231866.post-72351207920318015352013-11-21T20:16:25.553+02:002013-11-21T20:16:25.553+02:00Very insightful article, thank you. I'd like ...Very insightful article, thank you. I'd like to add that regarding God's direction for the difficult decisions in life, who do we turn to? I can't see how we can separate the life of the Spirit from the life of the flesh (not the sinful flesh, but earthly decisions like who we marry, which career, etc.) when it comes to making decision in life. The children of Israel were "led" into the wilderness to the Promised Land by God Himself. They did not purpose to go there in the first place! Sometimes we are led to go to a place we don't want to go or do things we really don't want to do (the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak), and we must rely and depend constantly on the Holy Spirit to lead and guide and direct us in ALL things. To not do so is to violate Scripture and His Lordship in our lives, isn't it? Jesus "called" the disciples to "follow" Him more than in just a metaphysical sense. They literally went wherever He went. If we are to also "follow" Jesus, shouldn't we seek to know where He is leading us rather than just take a shot in the dark and hope we're on the right path? The following verses have meant a great deal to me in my busy and often confusing life:

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

As for hearing His voice, we have a strict admonition:

Heb 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12642981599111176092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6457329754426231866.post-56253435283561392772013-03-16T05:58:55.456+02:002013-03-16T05:58:55.456+02:00Thank you.
